Partnering with 22,000 families of Rayalaseema, Andhra Pradesh, this organisation has been a boon for the farmers, women, children and the disabled of this region since 28 years now. From ecological regeneration to women empowerment to organic farming and running a nature school for the children, the Timbaktu collective has been successful in creating a social, gender and ecological harmony while maintaining a sustainable lifestyle for these rural communities. Just as it's motto, it surely celebrates life with its vibrant colours of natural dye and handmade clothes, soap and organic vegetables and pulses. The basic living here ensures quality of life. It's a beautiful place where you wake up hearing different birds chirping and the peacocks, where cool breeze and solar energy have replaced electricity. Purely bliss if you are a star gazer or a thinker, the place is right for you!

The school looks great but is managed poorly. It is extremely tragic for the poor children living there. Worked 12-14hrs a day for a few months, trying to help, but couldn't work anymore as there wasn't any co-operation :( - nitya Their range of organic products is awesomely delicious though.

One star is also not deserved, I think ....cause high price in offline market for example araku priced 80 where as timbactu 160. They says filtered, higenic,original,organic purely etc but other side give better than this. Once we entered first we did t go next......

An excellent source of organic food items, cereals, pulses, flours, and snacks. Close to Hyderabad-Bangalore highway. Managed by farmers with absolute cooperative spirit. The dosa powder, brown rice, ragi flour are one of the best buys.

Timbaktu collective is one of rural developing agencey which is empowering rural areas of anantapur by maintaining chit funds by group of women in villages and also it's having seperate groups for physically challenged groups , weivers and formers to help them in their way
